Paris - trains, planes and automobiles - and buses and walking!

Our journey to Paris began on Thursday morning, when Matt and Karen's very kindly next door neighbour gave us a lift to the Railway Station at Milngavie. We caught a train to Prestwick Airport which took just over an hour. We then boarded the plane, where only an hour and a half later we landed at Beauvais Airport which was another hour and a half by bus from Paris. It was very exciting getting our first glimpse of France from the air and then seeing the countryside on the way to Paris, but nothing prepared us for the feeling of driving through the streets of Paris and seeing the Eiffel Tower for the first time!!! We had five fantastic days of seeing the sights of Paris and all the things we had only ever dreamed of seeing. On our first day in Paris, we walked for miles, Craig did very well hobbling about on his sore ankle but we knew he couldn't continue every day. We booked the L'Open Bus Tour for 2 days, and then a night cruise on the Seine and a tour of Paris by night, which was absolutely fantastic. I can't really tell you much more, I'll just let you look at the photo's. [Kerry]
